HGV Driver Class 1 - All Shifts (Copy)

Salary: £16.00 PHR Location: Manchester Airport Hours: 6.00am - 4.00pm or 7am - 5.pm also weekend shifts are available

The Role

Pickles Recruitment are recruiting HGV Class 1 and Class 2 drivers on behalf of our client, a leading air-freight logistics company operating near Manchester Airport.

This is multidrop air-freight work, involving high-value consignments and time-critical deliveries. Drivers will collect and deliver freight between the clients depot, and local RDCs.

This role suits a driver who is:

• Confident reversing into tight bays

• Experienced in multidrop / short-radius deliveries

• Able to deal with paperwork, scanning and POD accuracy

No two days are the same — this is fast-paced work.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete multidrop freight collections/deliveries around South Manchester & local RDCs

• Follow site access and security procedures (cargo site & warehouse rules)

• Load, strap and secure freight correctly and safely

• Maintain vehicle safety through pre- and post-shift checks

• Communicate effectively with warehouse, office and security personnel

• Complete PODs accurately and on time

Requirements

✅ Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence
✅ Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph
✅ Good communication skills (sites can be security-sensitive)
✅ Ability to work to timed and planned routes
