Groundsman / Site Caretaker

Salary: £11.60/hour Hours: 12 weeks, 6:30am–3pm, Monday-Friday

Pickles are hiring on behalf of our client who require a Groundsman to look after the grounds of their manufacturing site. This is a great opportunity to work at a well-established firm. The main purpose of the role is to upkeep a presentable image of the company for staff and customers.

Contract:

• Temp 2 Perm – 12 weeks 

Working Hours: 

• 6:30am – 3pm / Monday-Friday 

• Must be flexible (the odd 4:30am start)

Hourly Rate:

• £11.60 to start – rising to £12.21 when permanent

Duties Include but not limited to:

• Grounds work and maintenance around the manufacturing site and grounds;

• Mowing grass using a ride along law mower.

• Trimming/strimming grass and around the edges.

• Ensuring grounds are kept tidy at all times (rubbish, leaves blown away)

• Window cleaning every now and then (canteen, reception area)

• Sweeping the grounds (stones out of footpaths etc.)

• Keeping watch of the controlled fire and making relevant calls to inform the fire service when taking place.

• Key holder.

• Use of equipment and tools such as ride on lawn mower, street sweeper, weed killer, sweeping brushes, rakes, etc. 

• Ensuring the car park is always clean and looking presentable. 

• Ensuring the outside public footpath is always presentable.
