Rigger / Decor Installer
Salary: Starts at £11.44/hour Hours: around 40-50/week

Our client is an organisation of creatives, artisans, builders, thinkers and riggers, and together they possess an array of skill sets which allow them to tailor every aspect of arranged events.
They specialise in event and prop hire, design, production & installation.
From club and festival décor to restaurant design and brand activations, they have gone from strength to strength to become one of the biggest UK décor and prop installation companies.
Overview
We have an upcoming project that will start in February and run all year round. It will start off around 16 hours per week while training. By May, you will be fully trained and the working hours will be around 40-50 per week. Working away and staying overnight, this could be anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks depending on the job – notice will be given.
We are looking for positive, fit and enthusiastic individuals to be part of a small crew to prep equipment and install/derig decor installations, capable of helping us deliver outstanding experiences and customer service on a weekly basis.
This opportunity will require the candidate to demonstrate a high level of hands-on competency, the ability to work at height. Ideally candidates will have a knowledge and understanding of event production but on the job training will be given and we are happy to invest in the right candidate.
All successful candidates will have a 1-day induction in health and safety and rigging at height at the warehouse in Denton before going out on site.
Duties and Responsibilities
Rigging/installing decor, props and installations in both venues and open-air festivals
Working at height with ladders to rig (what can sometimes be heavy and obscure items)
Following clear, predetermined set up instructions as part of a team to bring to life a clients vision.
Follow up all management and tasks allocated to you.
Follow and keep to time schedules set by manager
Use power tools and other tools to complete tasks, such as electric drills etc.
Work in a safe, efficient and organized manner
Manage load ins and load outs from multiple sites.
Drive to sites across the country as required
Maintain a clean working environment on a daily basis
Take part and attend in all necessary meetings with a productive and positive input
Act as a good ambassador for the company both on and off duty
Skills and Experience
2 year+ event industry rigging or crew work are desirable
Holder of a driving license is desirable
crew or team leader skills an advantage
Have experience in manual handling duties, including heavy lifting, carrying and moving all types of equipment safely…
Must be able to work on an installation plan and keep to deadlines.
experience and qualifications in rigging, IPAF, set build, draping, lighting and special fx are desirable

Hourly Rate:
Tier 1 - £11.44
Tier 2 - £12.44
Tier 3 - £13.44
Travel, Hotel and food expenses are paid for when working away.
