Legal Cashier

Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
Pickles Recruitment are on the lookout for an experienced and detail-obsessed Legal Cashier to join a well-respected firm of solicitors based in the Tameside area. If you’ve got a solid understanding of solicitors’ accounts rules, a sharp eye for figures, and you love making everything balance just right – we want to hear from you!
What you’ll be doing:
· Processing daily banking and reconciling client and office accounts
· Managing payments, receipts, transfers and legal aid billing
· Handling disbursements, expenses, and general ledger entries
· Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) accounts rules
· Producing financial reports as required by management
· Working closely with fee earners and support staff to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
· Liaising with accountants and auditors when needed
What we’re looking for:
· Previous experience in a Legal Cashier role (essential)
· Solid knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules
· A methodical, accurate and discreet approach to work
· Strong IT skills – especially Excel and legal accounting software (Leap, Quill, etc.)
· Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
· A trustworthy team player who can work independently when needed
