De-burr Operative / Finishing Operative

Hours are flexible :-  6am - 2pm, and 2pm – 10pm

Rate of pay : £13.13

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a De-burr Operative to join a busy manufacturing team. You will be responsible for removing sharp edges, scratches, and imperfections from metal components to ensure products meet the highest quality standards before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• De-burr metal components using hand tools and specialist finishing equipment.

• Remove sharp edges, burrs, scratches, and surface defects.

• Finish products to customer quality standards.

• Inspect components for defects and dimensional accuracy.

• Use measuring equipment where required.

• Follow engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Maintain a clean and organised workstation.

• Report quality issues to supervisors.

• Work safely in line with company health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing or engineering experience preferred.

• Experience using hand tools, grinders, files, sanders, or polishing equipment.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Good manual dexterity.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
