Production Operator (Converting)
A hands-on manufacturing role with full technical training and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity.
Hours : The main role works a two-week rotating shift pattern
Week 1: 6:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Friday
Week 2: 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Thursday; 12:00pm–6:00pm Friday
Salary: £15.50 phr
About the Role
Our client is an established specialist manufacturer looking for reliable Production Operators to join its Converting Team. You will operate slitting machinery that converts large master rolls of material into smaller rolls made to individual customer specifications. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Operate slitting machinery in line with customer specifications and Standard Operating Procedures.
Convert large master rolls into smaller rolls of different sizes.
Complete quality checks and maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Monitor production and report any quality concerns promptly.
Work safely and keep the production area clean and organised.
Work with the wider production team to meet targets and deadlines.
Carry out general housekeeping and support other production duties when required.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous production or manufacturing experience would be helpful, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
A good team player with clear communication skills.
Able to follow instructions, work safely and use initiative.
Reliable, punctual and willing to learn new technical skills.
