About the Role
Pickles Recruitment is looking for experienced Warehouse Operatives to join a well-established and highly respected business at its busy distribution centre in Radcliffe.
This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability and the chance to secure a permanent position with a great company.
The warehouse handles customer orders for distribution and also welcomes customers who collect their orders directly from the site. We're therefore looking for someone who is not only experienced in warehouse operations but also professional, approachable and reliable.
Applicants must be available to work both shifts, rotating weekly.
Duties and Responsibilities
Picking customer orders accurately using printed pick sheets.
Checking products and quantities against customer orders.
Packing and preparing orders ready for dispatch.
Ensuring orders are correctly labelled and organised for delivery or customer collection.
Assisting customers collecting orders from the distribution centre.
Supporting general warehouse and distribution activities.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Learning and adapting to a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) being introduced shortly.
Working closely with colleagues to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
Experience and Skills Preferred
Essential:
Previous experience working within a busy warehouse distribution environment.
Experience with order picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch.
A good, stable work history and excellent reliability.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
A professional, friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work both rotating shift patterns.
A genuine interest in securing long-term, permanent employment.
Desirable:
A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
Experience using warehouse management systems or scanning equipment.
Previous experience dealing with customer collections.
An FLT licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
A good attitude, reliability and a strong work history are essential.
What’s on Offer?
£13.25 per hour during the temporary period.
£14.69 per hour once permanent.
