EXPERIENCED GLASS CUTTING OPERATIVE
Location: Wythenshawe
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent or Permanent
Hours : 6:00am - 2:30pm | Mon - Thur, 6:00am - 1:30pm Fri
Salary: £14 per hour
About the Role
We’re recruiting for an experienced Glass Cutting Operative to join a busy manufacturing company based in Wythenshawe.
The role involves accurately measuring, marking and cutting glass to the required sizes and specifications. You’ll follow cutting lists and production instructions, check measurements carefully and plan cuts efficiently to minimise waste.
You’ll also inspect glass for damage or imperfections, finish edges where required and prepare completed pieces for further processing, assembly or dispatch. Safe handling is extremely important, as the position involves lifting, moving and loading sheets of glass throughout the production area.
Key Responsibilities
Previous glass-cutting experience is essential. You must be confident using glass-cutting equipment, able to work accurately to measurements and committed to following all Health & Safety procedures and wearing the appropriate PPE.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must have previous hands-on experience cutting glass within a manufacturing or production environment. You’ll need to be confident measuring and marking glass accurately, following cutting lists and using glass-cutting equipment safely. Experience handling large sheets of glass, checking for defects and working precisely to minimise breakages and material waste is essential. This is not suitable for someone with general production experience only.
